RAYA BONUS FOR SABAH CIVIL SERVANTS

SANDAKAN: Good news for civil servants in the state.
The state government will pay a Raya bonus equivalent to a half-month salary or a minimum of RM500.
And, the bonus will be paid before the Hari Raya celebration.
Announcing this yesterday, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman said this is in line with the federal government’s recent decision to pay its staff a RM500 bonus.
Musa who is also Finance Minister added that it is an appreciation for the contributions and dedication of the state civil service in ensuring the success of the state’s development agenda and programmes for the benefit of the people.
“It is also to help reduce their burden in facing the rising cost of living,” he said.
A total of 19,191 civil servants will receive the RM500 bonus.
Meanwhile, Musa said the bonus payment would cost the state government RM16,166,364.40.
